Inspired by the Arts & Crafts Movement in the UK which included such artists as William Morris and Ruskin themselves inspired by Auguste Pugin the Gothic Revivalist active in the first half of the 19th century, this wonderful antique Diamond ring dates to 1900. A complete and harmonious design with finely carved Gothic trefoil shoulders centring around a unique old hand faceted mine cut Diamond. The beautifully twinkly Diamond itself (which we have measured at around 0.60ct) is suspended in a flowersesque setting reminiscent of those seen in Mediaeval jewellery. In truly lovely condition for its age, this gorgeous creation would make a most incredible engagement ring for the history lover!
A ring size 'P' or '7 1/2' we can size to suit. Fully hallmarked at Chester as 18ct Gold and for 'O.G' a makers mark which we haven't been able to trace so far.
